Soon, we will have to startup a Fanuc robot with R30IB controller and M710 manipulator.
This will be a brand new robot.
Will we need to do specific things towards mastering? Or will we be able to program and run immediately a program on it?
Also we will need to communicate by Profinet to a Siemens plc. Is this as standard in the controller or do we need a specific option?

Fanuc recently created a step-by-step for what to do with your brand new robot, they usually include it in the same box the pendant came in. It is a single sheet of paper with instructions on both sides. It goes through verifying your master counts and loading in the core software.

Mastering is already done on brand new robot (do not loose the mastering data in the paperworks)
Usually, software is already loaded (i suggest to backup the robot actual setup (all of above + image backup)You will need to define TCP (and User/Jog Frame if applicable).
Configure your i/o's, DCS (if applicable).
And you're usually ready to start.
