Well, have you confirmed that any traffic is getting in or out through the COM port? Have you put a loopback tester on the COM port at either end and confirmed that what you transmit is echoed back? Have you opened a Telnet window on the robot to 192.0.1.1 and monitored it while the CRWRITE/CREAD is carried out, to see the raw COM-port buffer values?
Sorry for my dumbness, I'm new in the area, but, how can I do all the tests that talked about?
Well, you could try using the Forum's search tool....
Just to be more specific my KUKA version is:
KR 15/2
KR C1 98/08/18
GUI version: V2.2.8
So I did what you said. In telnet window, it shows some message numbers when I push the buttons of controller. When the program reaches CWRITE, the telnet window shows what I send to my serial port, but it only shows TX, it doesn't show if the port is opened. And the program keeps returning CMD_ABORT.
I tested the RS-232 between 2 computers using Putty, it worked perfectly. I also tested between KUKA and computer using echo and it worked. So the cable its ok.
I have another doubt. In my serial.ini i have:
[COM1]
BAUD = 9600
CHAR_LEN = 8 ;7,8
STOP_BIT = 1 ;1,2
PARITY = 2 ; EVEN =2, ODD = 1, NONE = 0
PROC = 1 ;3964R = 1, SRVT =2, WTC = 3
and in my $custom.dat i have:
DECL SER $PSER_1 = {PROTO 1, PROC 0, RCO 5, BL 0, BAUD 19200, NOC 8, NOS 1, PARITY 2, TRC 1, FLP 0.......}
The baud rate in this two file must be the same or it's right like this? And what this declaration in the custom.dat file means?
Hi everyone!
I had succes in sending data through serial port.
Testing my serial port using echo I found that it reads data with baud rate 2400. So I change my baud rate in serial. ini and it worked.
Thank you SkieFire!
