OK we have at work several of the old Yasnac XRC motorman controllers - we have one that has had the cabinet fan fault on and off the last year or so. The fan itself siezed up yesterday and I replaced with a standard 120mm by 120mm 240V fan and this spins up OK.
The only issue is this fan labelled EV2 has a feedback device of some sort to tell controller fan is actually running.
It appears this has died as even when fitted to new fan still have same result.
What I am after is some information if anyone can help on what feedback this gives - eg is it a pulsetrain to check speed of rotation , a digital signal for fan on/off or an analog signal for speed detection?
I am an electrical technician so can produce some circuit as needed to replicate things if need be but need to have a starting point.
I can only find used ones online and they dont look that great a condition so prefer to do a newish improvement as we need these to run for maybe another 4 or 5 years at least.
The fan itself is -
