i have two up6 robots with xrc controls. im trying to talk to the xcp01 boards rs232 port. i have the pdf data transmission manual and have been reading it thoroughly.
right now i have built a cable according to the manual
i am trying to send an 'ENQ' to the xrc, and expect back a ACK0 bit. but i get nothing
i have tried sendin hex, as well as ascii.
i am fairly certain that the port is setup correctly and i verified the configuration on the teach pendant - it is the default setup.
9600 baud
even parity
1 stop bit
8 data bits
rts/cts hardware flow control
i am worried that my comms device is sending 5v signals and it may be either not a big enough voltage, or the wrong polarity.
please advise what the voltage needs to be for the xcp01 cn03, rs232 port i.e. what is logic low voltage range, and logic high voltage range?
