For a recent pick and place operation, we are trying to use collision detection through mxAutomation s7. We are running a KR270R2700ultra with a KRC4 (KSS8.3).
Overall, the functionality of these 2 seems to be somewhat shoddy. In general, we run our path in record mode so that we can get values for the torques on the axes; however, after we record these, when we actually run a collision, the collision detection trips out only some of the times (even though we are running the same collision). Also, the KRC4 seems to be recording values every run (even when we are not in record mode). This means that if you run at different speeds, there will be different stored torque values.
This may be a shot in the dark but i was just wondering if anybody has had any experience with these 2 tech packages together and was able to work through some of the problems we are seeing.
