Hello all I have recently began working on Motoman robots so forgive me if this is a simple question. I recently cleared all the data out of an nx100 and loaded in a back up we had, after loading this I received the alarm 0060 (communication i/o error) [1]. I checked my cabling and nothing seems to be out of place, I have also tried re-clearing everything and loading the back in and I still receive that error. If anyone knows what this could be that would be greatly appreciated!

What controller is it?
And what do you mean by cleared the data ? Did you initialize it ? If yes, may be you did not select some IO board. Or the IO board may be loosely connected with the back board (Remove the IO board and re-insert it), verify the station number setting, check the mechatrolink looping or the end terminator.

Why would you clear the data on a robot? Sounds like you did a partial initialization.
Alarm 60 is when the robot had a I/O card and now at boot the card has changed (not there any more or the settings are different). You say you loaded a backup. I hope this is the CMOS.BIN file. As an end user this is the only thing you can load in to everything back the way it was.
If using the CMOS.BIN and you still get this alarm, boot in maintenance mode and scan the I/O to update the boards plugged in and the current settings.
Be sure to save the CMOS.BIN file when you are done

Hello Robodoc I had initialized it so that I could add back ups from another cell as my job is trying to get another robotic cell up and running and we received a used one.
I have verified that CMOS.BIN file was the one uploaded.
When I booted in maintenance mode and looked at the different io boards that it was looking for versus what it was seeing I noticed the XEW01-1 was being looked for but could not be found. I changed the two fuses on the front of the board and when I powered back on everything powered up smothly.
Thank you for your help!
