Hi to all. Is it any way to save some values in excel file on ftp network direct from robot?
I have a welding robot connected in local network by Ethernet. Is it possible to save in excel file the production counters or the timers (timer[1]...)? Thanks in advance.

Yep, you would need karel to do it though.
As far as writing to the network, you would configure one the client tags to look at the file location on the ftp server, and then in karel you would write to that file through the tag.
As for the file, I would recommend writing to a .csv file, as writing to an excel file is not trivial.

Hi. I have create the karel program for writing in .csv. My problem is the way for writing in to the company's network. For a moment I use a usb in TP. Can you gave me an example?

What you have to do is define the ftp client connection tag in the host comm area under setup. So go under host comm, hit show (F4), and select clients, and then setup a ftp connection under one of the client tags.
Once the tag is setup, it will appear under the file menu when you go to set the device. There you can test that the connection is working.
Once that is setup, you would replace the "UD1:" tag in your karel program with "C1:" (or whichever tag number you setup in the steps above).

Hi Nation,
Can you explain how you set up your Client tag? I have done this for Socket Messaging, but not FTP. I have the Protocol as FTP, both Current State and Startup State are started, the IP address of my computer, Remote path defined as the folder location on my harddrive. When I try to do a backup, I get an error HOST-150 Invalid argument, and File is not open. I am doing this is Roboguide by the way. Thanks

I just setup the tag to look at the robot's own ftp server.
Here are the details under Host Comm
CodeTag Protocol Remote State 1 C1: FTP 127.0.0.1 [DEFINED ] 2 C2: ******** **********[UNDEFINED] 3 C3: ******** **********[UNDEFINED] 4 C4: ******** **********[UNDEFINED] 5 C5: ******** **********[UNDEFINED] 6 C6: ******** **********[UNDEFINED] 7 C7: ******** **********[UNDEFINED] 8 C8: ******** **********[UNDEFINED]
And the tag itself
