Hi All
Question
I have bought 5 used Lincoln 455 robotic power sources, when i opened the front plate, i see they are not having "Ethernet/Devicenet" and "Devicenet" interface modules(2 cards) but these were working in the shop i bought from(as per seller). Will i be able to use them with normal lincoln feeder 10R and able to wire feed? i am not sure if they are mandatory boards. I am planning to use them with 100i/rj3 robots

Are you talking about Lincoln wire welders that are to be interfaced to the Fanuc robot?

Yes these are Lincoln 455 robotic welders need to be integrated with Fanuc 100i/rj3 control
feeder is 10R -
I have seen Lincoln wire welders that are neither DeviceNet nor Ethernet capable.
I have never integrated one.
Does your RJ-3 system have the optional Analog backplane and cards installed?
Since your Lincoln welders (and I think they are very fine welders) cannot communicate through DeviceNet or Ethernet, or some other protocol, then I think you must use Fanuc analog I/O, which requires the installation of optional hardware in the robot cabinet.Again, I have never integrted one. So I don't know if this post will be of any help to you. But I think the Fanuc software to run an Analog card is probably already there in your Fanuc controller.
Can anyone provide more help?
