Hi,
We are interested in acquiring a Kuka KR, KRC and turntable for milling polystyrene, styrene and timbers. We specialise in sculpture and complex architectural forms and already have a three axis deep Z axis CNC for carving foam but wish to step up now to the next level.
My question is what is the least expensive secondhand Kuka system we can buy, which will give us the memory lookahead for complex forms?
As we hand built our 3 axis CNC we have some knowledge but am wondering if anyone has written a guide or a can suggest specific arm and controller models we could look at. Its been suggested we look at something like a KR210 With KRC2 Controller with Windows XP and KSS Version 5.4.14 as an inexpensive starter for 10.
A long reach arm and a turntable would be useful for maximum flexibility but the priority at the moment is to find the best secondhand equipment, in the best order, for the best price. Who doesn't want that …
Thanks
