Need to get my ancient equipment running properly. Working with 2 k6's with OTC CDPD-350 MAG TURBO PULSE power sources welding with .045wire with 90-10 CO2 Argon mix. So old they do not even have digital display for output voltage and amperage. To set the weld condition file up you are suppose to enter in 8 different points for both the CURRENT and VOLTAGE parameters. Does anyone have any parameters they could tell me to enter in that would get me in the ball park? IS Ref. Voltage suppose to be the same for both CURRENT and VOLATAGE? I know there is a process for setting this up but I cant figure out how to physically go about doing. I read that since im using a foreign power source that i will manually need to set up absolute current and voltage. I have a test program made and 1/4 plate ready as instructed. But it also tells me i need a tachometer for measuring wire speed and voltmeter for measuring actual output amperage and voltage. Where at am i suppose to probe to pull these readings?! straight off the power source? somewhere down the line on the robots lead? Need more info off how im actually suppose to go about doing this.
MRC how to set up Welding condition files properly.

you can read the V and A from the power source, I can send you a solution. the best way is to use a clamp meter in DC with 600V and an voltemeter on the pole on power source.
the tachometer is to read te wire feder.
We have such equipment and do such calibration but we need to know where are you located.

Sorry for getting back to you so late my attention has been re focused else where but we are now investigating on just that, somebody qualified to come out to our site and see if they can get us back in running order and possibly be able to give me a crash course of how to do it while doing so. The company I work for is called Pioneer Conveyor located in Hazelton WV. My name is Seth King, I am the robotic programmer and operator. Let me know if you need any further information. Do you work for a company, if so what is its name? Where are you located? Rates? I will be keeping a closer eye on this forum now that someone finally replied. Thanks for the info, hope to hear back from you soon.

Maybe you should contact with Motoman Inc that is located in OHIO.

I am located in europe and I am Yaskawa agent in my country. better to contact direct Motoman subsidiary in your area. From my experience you must recalibrate tehge power source and after that is starting the discussion regarding comunication with the robot. Hope this help
