We tried to convert catpart file to .co, but we got following error,
system root is not defined. XML is incorrect.
What does it mean?

This has to do with Process Simulate.
Am I Correct in saying that that is a warning, and that the translation was still successfully?
I receive the same warning when translating, but still get the desired result, if you have Process simulate on your system and your system root is set, then moving the CATPart to the system root directory and then translating will eliminate that warning.

As far as I can remember that is the case.
You should have a valid component.
Dear Mr.Ruaan.Holtzhausen, Mr.Ynze,
Thank you very much for your reply.
We got a solution. we translate through cmd script. After warning also, system converting catpart to rf file. from rf file, we can covert as .co without problem.
That's Good to hear, I didn't even think that you were running the translators directly from robcad, it doesn't give you the option of adding some of the translation parameters, that's why I always translate using a vbscript initiating the translator, and I assume you added the parameter -keep, to keep the .rf file
There is also the possibility of translating from .co to CATIA (.cgr) this as far as I know is not possible from the Robcad application.
