Is there any specific way to check the repeatabilty on a robot? I have 2 r2000ib's.

Fanuc uses 3 dial indicators. One in each plane x, y, and z.
A square "tool" is mounted to the robot. The tool weight is the robots maximum payload.
A program is taught to place the "tool" into the indicators and they are zeroed.
The robot moves out of the indicators, flips the wrist upside down and then back, making sure all axes are being used, and then into the indicators at differing speeds and the variance is recorded. -

are you trying to do a high precision appilcation? I have found that from factory mastering sometimes gives issues with this.
