Can anyone tell me how to highlight comments in a TP. One of our new robots has this in it and I can't quite seem to figure out how they did it.

Yea i didnt even think about that. I know in the plc when the fence is open i can just keep the robots held while the gates are open and if i need to do something i can just disable that when i need to.

i went through my system variable sheet and i coudlnt find this safe speed setting. Maybe i am just over looking it somewhere do you happen to know which one it is.

I have a r30ia controller and I want to disable the ability to jog the robot with the fence open. I can't seem to figure out how to do this.

Yea i will probably put it on the hmi i just didnt know which signal that light used. I am using a Allen bradly PVP and talking to the robots through the plc and they dont have the UOP's set up on these particullar cells. They are from an italian company and they utilzed a proface as the translator between the two so i can write and read to just about anything but i could never figure out what trigger that light on. I havnt seen a system ready signal outside of the UOP's.

I have 2 r30ia controllers and we have a central opcon away from them with a hmi for the operators to interface with the robots and one thing that was never installed was at the remote opcon was a light to show the robots are faulted. The opcon has a small fault light on it that goes into a board on the back of the door my question is what do i have to do to get an output to work along with that. I would like to put a simaliar light on the opcon so they dont need to look at that one. Can someone help me out here with this?

I recently activated my diagnostic pro and i have 2 r30ia controllers. I went to perform a start diagnositc and it told me to run a tp program to write the info to files. Can someone help me on what this program needs to look like?

I have 2 robots with r30ia controllers and i have certian situation when i do not want the operators to run the robots in manual. We have had issues where the robot goes into a tight area and i do not want the operators to be able to run the robots when they are in this area. Is there a way i can say if i am in this area disable manual. I already have logic in to tell me when the robot is in this area i am just trying to find a signal or i can send to the robot to disable manual movements.

I was just curious i was asked by one of our engineers about the repeatablity and just wanted to know how to check it

I just recently put in a panelview plus to control the robots from. Originally the oem didnt supply a interface and the pendnant was used by the operators for the interface which i didnt like so i put this panelview in. We use the proface only for data transmition to and from the robots. We send the data to the robots and use the SNPX_ASG system variables to get the addresses for all of the items that put data in the registers on the robot. The digital signals go right to a input or output on the robot. I talked to a guy from proface yesterday and he suggested using set and reset bits for the digital signal so i started changing some of them over to that format.

Yea i am going to go through all of of the settings for the communication today hopefully something jumps out. This isnt always a problem it comes and goes i am not sure what it is going on i tried to contact proface and they werent much help.

Scotty,
Did you ever have an issue where the proface would show a message saying to many write requests? We have this come up from time to time and we need to reset the proface to get comms working again. I have looked into diferent ways of sending the data and i only send what i need when i need it so i dont beleive i am sending to much data.

I was able to find what i needed to address to the robots through the proface. The oem didnt provide us with the edoc cd's but i was able to get some info from fanuc on it and got it straightened out.
