Hi every one I am new to robots I program only one igm 11 axis rti 477 I am only thinking only about this one
I dont know what other systems from other manufacturers are like for example with igm it goes like this:
-max 3 search groups with max 3 search drives in each are all in a single search block.
-there are 3 methods for searching integrated laser sensor (pases a laser beam over the seam), iCam (a laser camera) , gas nozzel search.
- shift block refrenced by the search blocks
-single point search block refrenced to many search blocks for each point.
-dose the same logic aplies to all robots.
-I read that igm ang cloos are the most advanced welding robots why?
-by the way I use online (opposite of offline) programing on large and complicated work piece.
-how can I get programing manuals for other systems that could guide me in decision if my company wants to buy another system?

Eh, everyone claims their robot is the best for certain applications.
Most of the brand-specific forums here have sub-forums where people have posted copies of manuals (except Fanuc, b/c Fanuc is a jerk about it). That'd be the first place I would recommend using.
Most robots, unless you order them with specific options, will come very "blank," without integrated functions, allowing you to create your own customized solution. Most industrial robots are made for maximum flexibility, with add-ons for specific functions offered for additional cost.
