I have a FANUC LR Mate 200iC Robot and a R-30iA Mate controller
I want to setup up some inputs and outputs to the robot but I am quite a newb with FANUC robots
I found the EE on the joint but it only has 12 pins on it
Also I was wondering where can I setup (hard wire) the DI/DO and RI/RO?

Hello,
The RI/RO are accessed via that EE connector. The DI/DO are via a 50 pin Honda connector. I seem to remember this connector being located at the bottom of the front door (inside). Do you have any documentation for this robot?

Unfortunately, I do not have the eDocs for this robot/controller. I've been just looking online.
Okay, I can see two 50 pin female connectors on the bottom front door (inside) with labels stating: CRMA58 and CRMA59. I believe that would the DI/DO? -
What would you like to do? to use phisiscal DI and DO you need to connect DI and DO card to the robot and configure it in the controller, to use the RO and RI you need to connect the cable to the robot and use it.
CRMA58 and CRMA59, These two ports are the right port, but you need connector, I've sent you a private mail. -
What I can see from the manual the cabinet provide the 24 v and the 0 vdc for the input, Pins 17,18,29,30 = 0Vdc. Pin 49, 50 = +24Vdc.
the DOSRC1 and DOSRC2 pin are used to provide 24V for the output . Pin 31,32 external 24V.
Obliviousy you must connect external power supply 0Vdc to Pin 17,18,29,30 to use output.
Usually I use relay (solid state) to connect robot in / out to PLC in / out, but pay attention to the maximun output ampere value. -

So for the 12 pins EE there aren't any digital RO on robot arm?
