Hi,
On our controller R30iB, We have installed DCS option but we can't configure the DCS when we go on the DCS page.
I have just 3 lines:
1 Safe I/O device
2 Signature number
3 Code number setup
It's look like the DCS is disabled temporary.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you get any alarms? I had the same problem once. I suppose you got your option from Fanuc.
In my case they send me the wrong image to load DCS. Send them back an image and they added the correct
options. I also had to update my software and Ipendant.See manual : Software series
To use the DCS Position/Speed Check functions, 7DA5 series (V7.50) or higher software is needed. -
Any alarm is displayed. I'm working with R30iB Controller. And the Software Version is V8.10P/07.

Hm I only have the R30iA manual, If you can send me an AOA backup I can take a look in Roboguide.

If ANY of you are using anything older than 8.10/11 on the new R30ib , you need to upgrade immediately. You can get TP lockups and data corruption.

Running fine for more then year now. Its an Rj3iB so that one is ok?
Why doesnt Fanuc contact their integrators then? and with data corruption
I hope you dont mean that the DCS will not work, putting operators in danger then! -
I agree. They seem to leave it up to us to determine if there is a problem. My post is specifically for the R30ib. There is also a 8.13 version, not familiar with it but if your controller has 8.10, it needs to stay 8.10 , just the /07 , /11/ etc.. needs to be the latest revision.
Regarding DCS , I don't know that it affects anything here. Its the teachpendant software that locks up and can also cause controller reboots/ lockups. I wouldn't worry about the DCS because it is a separate processor system that i would think even the slightest hickup there would cause the DCS system to fault the robot.

Thank you for explaning, DCS is still a very nice affordable option, wondering whats the problem here in Yassine's post.
I seem to remember something very similar when I loaded the first Fanuc image, called them and explained the missing
options. They said they did something wrong and send me a new image , then everything was right there. -
Yassine,
You definetely got a load without all of the DCS. Get with Fanuc and tell them. -
Check this variable: $DCS_CFG.$SYS_PARAM
If it is 1, change it to 0.
