When I try to install the robot again the setup stop in winsock2-setup and not continues to advance.
I'm trying to install a KRC1A for KR350-2 but I can not make it work because I have several messages at startup failures kuka software, I also would be useful or data files to make it work machine.-
Does this error occur during the install process, or on the first reboot after the install process?
What version of KSS and Windows are you trying to install? Is it the same version that was previously operational on this robot?
Have you tried burning a fresh install floppy and CD from the installation files stored in the robot's D: partition?

lets start excluding things. The complete procedure is:
1) With FDISK, create two (2) partitions:
- Primary DOS, 2048MB, FAT16
- Extended DOS, 2048MB, FAT16
2) Format both partitions.
3) Install Windows 95 first. Default installation. (..\English\Win95\setup.exe)
4) Install Y2K update. (..\English\y2k\w95y2k.exe)
5) Install Shared-Memory driver. (..\internat\tools\smsetup\smsetup.exe)
Check that “RTACC VxWorks” appears in START -> SETTINGS -> CONTROL PANEL -> NETWORK
6) Install KSS.
At which step does the problem appear?
Whoah! Skordos, with respect, Step 1 should be: copy any files off the hard drive. Performing an FDISK or format will wipe the hard drive completely, leaving no way to recover any backups or the D: contents.
Aaaah!
While being a programmer, I'm always trying to write very clear and distinct instructions.

Yes, SkyeFire, you are right. I assumed it is the first startup and that there is a CD available.
This is not an excuse however, you are right. I should have mentioned it.
I wrote a manual a few years back where I made that very same mistake, because of course anyone who knows anything would know better than to format a drive without making backups first.

Please install the Microsoft TCP/IP network protocol from your Windows95 install disk, then restart setup. If Microsoft TCP/IP is already installed, reboot then run <windows>\WS2BAKUP\WS2BACKUP.BAT to restore your previous Winsock components, then reboot and return this setup program.

I checked the control panel, network, TCP/IP is already installed, and I didn't find the WS2BACKUP.BAT file
I think your only option is going to be to re-install the KUKA-specific version of W95, followed by a re-install of KSS.
I had the same issue. We ended up sending it in to KUKA to install. It turns out I had a bad ribbon cable going to either the floppy or the CD drive. Try disconnecting what you don't need.

It seems that the win95 installation folder in the D: comes from KUKA CD.
my biggest problem is lacking of installation CD... 
Never buy a used robot unless it comes with full recovery media. The robot originally shipped to GM with a complete recovery CD set.
If you send KUKA Service your controller serial number, they might provide you with a recovery CD from their archives.
Failing that, your best bet might be to find someone with a working GM KRC1 who would be willing to image their hard drive for you using CloneZilla or something similar.

problem solved!
you have to add the adapter in network, and using the driver file from the krc installation folder.
I have the same winsock2 error. Can you explain in more detail which driver you had to install? I installed the SMsetup which install TCP/IP and the RTACC Vx Works Protocols.
