I would like to have each part number on their own memory card. Operator would plug in the apropriate card.

Hello All,
I have a Motoman with XRC Controller. We have been running it on just one part for several years.
Now managment wants to sometimes run a different part in the same cell.
What is the best way to organize the two different jobs?
Can the PCMCIA memory card have folders?
How can jobs be organized in the controllers memory so operator can select between the two part numbers?
The current job consists of 55 different .JBI files to run the part.
The new part will likely have just as many. Having them all dumped together in memory or on card will get real messy and confusing for future editing.

The pallet is definitely square.
Sounds like I need to set tool tip coordinates and tool pose, THEN teach the user plane of pallet.
I'm off to do that now.

Hi all, total newbie here.
Working on learning how to program a Yaskawa Motoman UP6 Arm & XRC 2001 Controller.I have (2) pallets of 12 parts that is setting at an angle.
I have taught the 3 points ORG, XX, XY but the tool does not travel "Square" with pallet.
Tool follows X axis edge of pallet OK, but Y axis travel is off by .1" in 12" of movement.
Moving tool around pallet, the Z height seems to follow parallel.What am I missing?
This is a lathe tending setup with (2) pallets of 12 parts. Robot has dual grippers, one to load raw part, the other to unload finished part.
I want to avoid teaching every single pallet location. I should be able to teach 1st part position then 'shift' location some how to load/unload all 24 parts, correct?
Although I have no idea how to program that yet.
I assume there is a way to loop the program and call each part position with a variable?Do I need to define tool pose and tool tip coordinates also?
Am I going about this correctly?
No one here knows anything about programming this thing, I am working on figuring this out on my own
The boss has tasked me to get this lathe tending working in a month.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I never have programmed a robot.
