You could create an accurate TCP. Step through the program switch to new TCP and touchup point. The controller will recognize the active TCP has changed and ask you which TCP number to use. You select the new . Then switch back to old TCP move to next point switch to new TCP and touchup again. It's long and tedious but it gets the job done.

If you have A - cabinet in the top box open the door. There is a PSU on right side. If there's red lights push those buttons to reset. They should be green.

Did this come from a dual arm or secondary cabinet ?

How many files are on the USB drive? It matters. Make sure you use a blank USB.
-
It could be software version related. On these controllers I use 512mb SanDisk brand compact flash. Those are usually solid. I'm not exactly sure when the 512mb was supported but another idea is to try 128mb card.

Does the auto t1 / t2 switch work?

M6 or M16 is closest thing to S-12. Rj2 is not supported in roboguide.
-
That should have a A or B cabinet not a Mate

which m10ia do you have?

Doesn't seem likely the core is gone because it's stored on FROM. You probably lost your SRAM. If so you can do init start from bmon. Then load your backups backup after it's bootable.

Seems someone recently had an issue reading these vars getting parameter not found. I remember testing it myself got same error.

Are you sure it is 8.23 and not 8.13?
I can't seem find any references to a v8.23 anywhere in Fanuc's documentation. However, I do see a separate folder and an additional binary that is located in
\\Program Files (x86)\FANUC\WinOLPC\Versions
I haven't tried this, but you may want to look into \\Program Files (x86)\FANUC\Shared\Off Line\FRVRC\frvirtual.exe.config
You may be able to add a listing for v8.23 that points to the correct resources for v8.20. This is just a WAG, but it might just work.
8.23 exist I actually have it in my roboguide. To be honest, not sure how.

can u share the document ?
Sorry can not do that

It would be easier to create another process. I wouldn't even consider using multiple model ID's because they always get screwed up.

I have never used roboguide before. I have a 30-day trial.
For the first time, I will be installing and programming a Fanuc S-12 with an R-J2 Mate CONTROLLER (LR ARC TOOL). I have installed them before, (Set them and wired them up and tested operation by using the pendant). This time I will be doing everything, in addition to installing it. It will be used as a mechanical press tending robot, simply loading a part onto a die and operating the press in the place of an operator.
Does anyone out there have any completed Robotguide cell files? (*.frw). It would be nice to see a completed cell. I cannot find any sample cells in the software from Fanuc.
Are you sure that S-12 is a mate controller? I've never seen a S-12 LRmate

You can set the comment on same screen you taught the tool frame

Something like this set will work ?
How this connects with fanuc controller ?
Also this I/O set needs extra software options to buy ?

Do a MD backup and it will save all the .SV files to a .VA You can open the .VA files with a text editor.
When you do this you need to copy from MD: to UD1: or UT1: which ever you choose

Thanks, but the error is not SRVO-058 but SRVO-056.
This calls for examination of the fiber optics, servo amplifier and main board.
Either:
1. I missed something in the physical process of removing the tracking hardware, or...
2. I missed steps of software re-configuration to match hardware removal, OR...
3. the hardware is faulty.
HOWEVER judging by the little information in the thread I linked to on my original post, options 1/2 are more likely than 3.i really need to wear my glasses more sorry

That worked. Would have been nice if that was included in Fanuc's manual.
Thanks a lot!
It is in the manual
