You have to use WorkVisual to tell KRC4 how your hardware(Beckhoff, Build in valves) is mapped to your software (KRC digital $IN , $OUT)
No way around it if you want to control it from KRC level.

Back to topic, can't i map something like $ANIN[17] to $OUT[1] ?
Every robot that i programmed was with orangeEdit, workvisual is not familiar to me..
