Hi I am getting this error on my irc5 compact, with irb120 robot.

I have replace my device net and IO unit, still same error.

When u disconnect the IO unit, this error went off and work fine, without the IO unit.

    What is the problem?

    Thanks

  • Irb120 , squeaking sounds from joints

    • Syphonics
    • April 15, 2024 at 4:24 PM

I am having the weird squeaking sounds from the joints from various axis. no fix axis, random.

Sounds like movements with brakes on.

Error given, joint overload or collision, and obviously no overload and collision happens.

    What could be the error?

  • IRC5 compact, shut down using operator login

Hi I have this issue of operator accidently doing system reset when shutting down the controller, via RESTART --> ADVANCED --> Shut Down. Instead of shutdown they will select other options which cause much trouble the next day.

I am thinking of doing a user login using operator status in the UAS function, but i have some issues.

1: i am not able to select the shut down function using operator status, even with remote restart function selected.

2: how am i able turn on the controller with the need to select the user login. Currently by default it will login automatically using "default user".

I am able to make default user with operator function, but then i am still not able to shut down using the function.

I am having several errors related to 34317 and 34316, on my axis 5 of IRB 120, IRC5 unit.

How do i solve this issue?

I have checked the cables on Axis5, seems fine.

How do i check if the cables are really working fine, or any issue with my gearbox?

Do I have to grease the gearbox for IRB120, how do i grease the gearbox?

    Thanks

I've seen this a lot (more than I'd like haha). Yes, you can normally just replace the contactor. We changed over to Omron made contactors, (contactor holder also needs changing if changing over to Omron contactors) they seem more robust and less problematic...

    Assuming you're using IRC5?

What model of omron contactor are you using?

I open the irc5 compact and realize the middle contactor is the faulty contactor. Sometimes it activate; sometimes it does not; sometimes it will jumps back after activated.

    Been getting this error lately

Error in 37001, contactor switch error. Motors ON contactor 2 or 1 in drive module 1 failed to close when ordered.

Is it due to going to be faulty contactor, can we replace just the contactor without changing the whole board?

Hi I have an error with missing or disconnected device net.

The card works intermittently, sometimes the LED lights from the card will goes off.

How to I check if the card is really faulty?

Previously I have accidentally shorted one of the digital IO ports , could this be the cause of it?

for the others I would advise you to check the internal panel power supply.

do you have a compact or standard cabinet?

hi lately my irb120 with irc5 is behaving strangely.

couple of months back it started off with the auto and manual selector switch, switching to either function sometimes it does not recognized, I have to switch it back and fro a few times or do it slowly.

and lately my devicenet D652 IO does not show up in the system when machine is switch on, device net board missing, have to resolve it by restarting the system.

Log stated it does not have power v24 to device D652.

    yesterday 2 issues occur,

    - the emergency switch function gave me problems. error 20202, 20212

    - Error in 37001, contractor switch error. Motors ON contactor 2 or 1 in drive module 1 failed to close when ordered.

There is once the robot arms moves with a squeaking sound, as if it is moving with brakes on, but after a while the sound is gone.

Is there anyway to test and check if my IRC5 is functioning well?

I have attached the log here.

I realize it is axis 5, not axis 3. Axis 5 is runs by a smaller servo motor.

Where is the dead man switch?

I will try to relocate the positioning of the arm to shorten the distance of load

I am using the IRB120 to do epoxy dispensing, I have no idea of the load but I suppose it should be at least 2kg.

After dispensing we need to change the cartridges and there are times axis 3 may slip, and drop about 2” in height.

    The arm is extended.

After the drop, there is no error displaying on the controller.

Is there a fault in the brakes or something might have fault?

Hi, I have 2 units of irb120, been using it for more than 3 years. Each boot up, there is a notice which mention the system is due for servicing.
Do I actually have to service the robots even though it is working fine ?

    Hi,

I am new to robotics. I had a ir120, I would like to do the following:

move arm from point A to point B,
while moving, if robot DI0 = 1, movement stops.

How do I do such a simple program.

    Thanks
