The Operations manual is in the Kawasaki software and manuals section on this forum.

Are you looking for something specific? I have tried multiple times to send you 4 of the more popular manuals via email but it fails. Here is the operations manual. Just let me know if there is a manual you are looking for and I will see if I have it.

The battery board for this alarm is located inside the robot back behind where the harnesses plug in. After replacing the battery you may need to re zero. I would put all the joints to zero before replacing the battery just in case. Attached is the manual for zeroing out the robot. I would just do the simple zeroing it will do fine. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys...just as I thought KRI is just trying to make the other brands seem inferior. Not saying that they are not good robots just I really think that ABB would be better suited for our environment. We have Kawasaki's in other parts of the plant that we don't really ever have trouble with but in this area it is much more harsh.

Do any of them really not have programming language with if-then-else etc... or global variables you can make up yourself?

For those of you out there that have dealt with different robot manufactures I was wondering which one would you consider to be the most operator friendly and/or most reliable. I know that it depends on the program structure as far as reliability. I am just wondering I have currently not dealt with any other but Kawasaki. The company I work for (a different branch of Kawasaki not the robot side) is looking into maybe getting either Fanuc or ABB. As expected KRI (Kawasaki Robotics) has commented on the possibility of us getting different brands and pretty much says they are better at the program side with AS than the others and that they can make a foundry robot like the other 2 have. Any comments from people that have dealt with Kawasaki and Fanuc/ABB?

Make sure you have the circuit on the 1GW board hooked up correctly. This manual on page 31 and 32 explain it. Also does the teach pendant turn from gray to yellow when you use it to turn on the output? Also make sure that the other output is turned off (gray).

Open this manual and on page 52 of section 5 it explains manually turning on the I/O's from the teach pendant. There are other things in this manual you might find helpful if you are just starting out.

Does anyone have any documentation on the 1JF board. I think that is what it is I did not pull the board out to check. The board is for Omron's DeviceNet. The controller is a D series.

If you send me your email in a PM. I can send you a couple manuals that might help.

Are you looking for copies of manuals? If so what controller.

Anyone had any problems with the new e series controller shutting off motor power in middle of cycle. The saftey circuit is all good the other robot in the same cell keeps running. The robot on the e series was throwing collision alarms without being near anything. Turned up the detection temporarily to stop the collision alarms to troubleshoot easier. I am thinking the mc unit is bad but we dont have spare parts yet this is our first e series. After the day I had I have the usual parts we change on the d controller on order for the e controller.

Could I please get both of these standards. The Renault and Daimler. Please send to mark_88590@hotmail.com. Thanks in advance!!

What exactly are you trying to change? What controller and robot are you working with? I know for the D series you can change the application field in the auxiliary menu (AUX 0605) from spot welding or handling and set clamp definitions accordingly.

If anyone needs manuals for the E series I can get them. I have them ranging from AS language, operations, to general fieldbus. There are about 15 different ones I have access to. I also have a few D series that are not on here already. But the nice thing is much of the D series is the same in the E series only a few things changed. Just let me know.
