Hello,
I have received 3 used R-30iA robots that need to be reprogrammed and shipped back out. 2 of the robots work fine. I send them a Style and the robot starts cycle. On the 3rd robot, for some reason I cannot start the robot program from the PLC. I am pulsing the cycle start signal. The robot is receiving a Style number to run but doesn't start.
I am getting 2 system errors.
SYST-011 Failed to run task Remedy: Refer to the error cause code.
SYST-070 No program name in table Remedy: Put a valid program name in the proper place in the style table.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ESIELI,
You were absolutely correct. I knew that it had to be something easy like that but it had me chasing my tail. I appreciate your help.
Thanks
Hello everyone,
I am have a problem with a R-30iA robot controller. Whenever I turn the key on the control cabinet to "Auto" and turn the teach pendant to the "Off" position, my robot wants to run at 100 percent speed. I cannot turn it down through the PLC or even on the teach pendant itself.
Any ideas on how to stop this speed override would be greatly appreciated.
I deleted the macro. Copied the same one from a different robot and put it in this robot. Now it works. I don't see a difference in the programs but there must have been something.
I am just glad it works. Thanks for the help
The macro won't even start. It stays on line 1.
There are no movement instructions in the macro. It is a simple macro for gripper toggle that I have used for other programs that work just fine.
Below is the whole logic

If I run the program through the teach pendant it works fine.
I don't know why this robot is so different from the others.
I tried the abort all with and without selecting another TP program and it still doesn't work.
I have a used R-30iA controller with a R2000iB robot. I have used macros before but for some reason on this robot I get the following error when I try to run the macro
MACR-016 The macro is not complete.
When I look at the help for this message it says :
Cause: The macro aborted while executing
Remedy: The macro will begin executing from the first line at the next execution.
If I try to run the macro with the user key, I keep getting the same fault.
I can run the macro program by stepping through the program and it works fine but when I hit the user key, it faults.
It has to be something simple, I just can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks Dave,
That was exactly my problem. I didn't know how to get to the back ground programs. Now I can start and stop them and add them. I knew that it was something easy but I just couldn't find it.
Thanks again.
Hi guys,
I have a used R30iA robot controller and there is a background program running. I cannot edit or delete this program because it says that it is in use. I have tried to do a controlled start but that had no effect. If anyone knows how to stop this back ground program so that I can edit it, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hi guys,
I have a R30iA controller and every time I cycle power to it, it changes my device from UD1 to MC. Does anyone know how to have the controller select UD1 every time instead of the memory card?
Thanx in advance.
Thanks for responding prnuk2003
I am pretty sure that you can shut them off though. I think it is just one simple button in the teach pendant. My biggest problem is that my robot is in Thailand and I am in Canada. I can't find the "special button" from here.
I agree about Robot Studio. Much easier to see everything but the engineer in Thailand either doesn't have it or doesn't want to use it. His loss.
I have a IRC5 controller hooked up to a IRB6620 robot. I want to see the status of the robot IO while the robot is running but the operator prompt keeps coming up. Can someone tell me how to stop the prompting? Thanks in advance.
