Hi Julian122,
there is actually something you can do
in the file C:\KRC\ROBOTER\Config\System\OfficeLite\Modules.xml
just delete the line
<Module isActive="true" Name="Histogram.o" DisplayName="Histogram" Config="Histogram.xml" Prio="192" Stacksize="65536" Affinity="0"/>
after that normal boot is possible without causing problems
(this only allowed for OfficeLite)
It worked for me the whole last year.

Hallo,
the RSI software is talking directly with the base system.
On KSS V8.3 the KLI (defining a virtual 6 for this communication) is forwarding the request to the base system.
On KRC2 machines the base system needed an extra ethernet card for this communication
Office Lite does not have the KLI and you cannot install a extra ethernet card, you only can use a program called "router.exe" to connect thru the windows network card to the shared memory.
In your second document you will find the drawing for that type of connection

Hello,
yes it is possible using dcom for this remote communication.
All opc clients I know allows local and/or remote communication.
Depending on the windows version it could be difficult to set dcom up.regards

Hi,
then I would say that SkyFire is right - for communication the router program is used.
Normally you have to call it once and select an ini or XML file (depends on Version) and make sure you find the entry "ProConOS" with the portnumber "20547".
after that you should only minimize the aplication.
If you put a link to the router in the startup Folder then whenever you start the Controller the router will be started as well and also reads the configurtation file and is ready for comms. To connect to plc you have to use the IP address of the Windows sideregards

hi,
what kss Version are you using?
proconos is running in the base System.
There are two possibilities to access:
- using Router (communication is going from Windows Network to shared Memory - easiest way)
- using Network Card for base System (depending on the kss Version 3com (not available anymore) or Intel pro Card has to be used)
because this Network Card belongs to the base System and not to Windows a dummy Driver has to be installedThe Network Card is given to the base System by changing the boot line (can you provide vxwini.ini to check the Contents?)
Also all Cards have to be in a Special Slot and should not be moved to anotherone!regards

Hallo,
what version of OL do You have?
Basically there could be two reason:
Your License file is out of date (normally valid for one year)
You copied the virtual machine and got a different MAC address
(both could be checked by reading the license file (MAC address part of the file name, date: first line in file)For OL 8.2 and 8.3 there could be different reasons

Hi,
what you can do:
transfer your programs to a transfer directory on the robt control
switch to expert mode
copy the programs from the transfer directory
paste them into the R1 directory of the robot control (this must be done within the BOF)regards MOM

Hallo everyone,
I am also using this motherboard (733 MHz) for my office pc and I am running KSS V4.1 up tp KSS V5.6 without any problems.
The combinations I have:
KSS V4.1 Win95
KSS V5.2 WinXPe 1.0 Build7 (Win XPe)
KSS V5.3 WinXPe 1.1 Build 10 or WinXPe 2.0 Build2 (Win XPe SP1 or Win XPe SP2)
KSS V5.4 WinXPe 1.1 Build 10 (Win XPe SP1 - Win XPe SP2 optional, if you do not use any additional network card)
KSS V5.5 WinXPe 2.0 Build 2 (Win XPe SP2)
KSS V5.6 WinXPe 2.0 Build 2 (Win XPe SP2)I would need to check whether the shared memory driver will be installed with the operating system or the KUKA Software - at the moment do not remember because I built me a master disk and just copy if needed.
