Hi all!
I'm chugging through the palletpro manual and looking at my unit loads and rockwell code as I create a new unit load for a new SKU.
Most of the stuff is straightforward and I've had no issue testing out my program while waiting on actual product to run however:
We have two pallet dispensers in each cell (total of 2 cells, 2 robots). I have several unit loads on the HMI that have LG and SM in the name. The large unit loads pull from one pallet dispenser, and the small from the other. The size of the pallets is irrelevant to my question but the small size is 40x48 and the large is 42x56, though the "large" pallet size can fluctuate.
My question is: Where exactly does the robot get told to depalletize/dispense from LG vs SM?
I took a look at the unit loads in roboguide/palletpro and surprisingly, the pallet size for ALL my unit loads is 40x48. I though there might be some info from the PLC determining where the dispenser was, like side loading a new PR, but I can't find anything specific.
I was surprised that when I tried to add another pallet dispenser in the PC PalletPro program, it said I couldn't add more than one. There's definitely something I'm missing here, but haven't come across it in the manual or any other searches yet. Was hoping for some insight!
I'm testing my program using the SM dispenser, but since there is a strong possibility of utilizing both, I'd like to stay ahead of the game.
Thanks!
