Do I have to keep SFSPD high all of the time? I can't get it to run with it off.
Is that speed adjustable?

Do you mean the UI signal? If yes, the signal has to be TRUE to move the robot. If it turns FALSE, the robot and the program execution will stop. Please consider that the SFSPD signal is not a safety rated function!
If the signal turns FALSE, the override will be reduced to the value stored in the system variable $SCR.$FENCEOVRD. You can change the value but if I remember correctly it is only possible in controlled start mode.
