Hi all,
I am new to this forum, and fairly beginner with FANUC systems. Presently, I have only access to the Roboguide.
I have Roboguide installed which hosts virtual controller(s) for FANUC robots.
I want to communicate with the virtual robot controller inside Roboguide using modbus from my PC (Ubuntu Linux machine).
On my PC, I have installed a library "libmodbus".
I have read about certain configurations that are needed on the controller in order to use the modbus communication. I want to read and write registers of Fanuc ( in my case, of virtual controller inside Roboguide) using modbus. Can somebody please guide me to the resources, steps, how can I achieve this.
Will i have to write a program and upload on the controller so that it can listen and accept connections from the PC.
Should this program be written in specific programming language such as KAREL?
System A: The PC (Ubuntu Linux machine), the master / client in this context.
System B: Roboguide (Windows 10 machine), the slave / server in this context.
System A, and System B are both connected to the same network.
Looking forward to any help, pointers, suggestions.
thanks,
Zahid
