Hi everyone,
We have a 165F robot here connected to a R-J3iB controller and since last friday, the teach pendant freezes after 5 to 60 minutes after restarting the robot. This robot is connected to our network and sends files/receives files to/from a pc in the same network. An Excel file with a VBA script is running on this pc and is connected to two CNC milling machines, which are (un)loaded by the robot. So, the pc is the one giving the robot or CNC machine tasks.
Anyway, since we've had network issues before, we unplugged the network cable from the robot yesterday afternoon. When I came in this morning, the teach pendant was still running/wasn't frozen. Thus, the problem must be network related. After trying differrent cables and so on, I decided to swap out the main/CPU board, since the ethernet port is located on this board. Unfortunately, 5 mins after rebooting, the teach pendant froze again. This isn't the problem either.
We also tried swapping the TP itself and its cable, also didn't make a difference. Moreover, I also looked for the $ETH_FLTR variable but it doesn't seem to be on the robot. Also, this controller has only 1 ethernet port so I can't put the cable in a different port for the sake of trying. Finally, I also checked the CPU load via the variables $IDL_CPU_PCT and $IDL_MIN_PCT but these values weren't extremely low.
Our ICT guy says that there are no issues on the network at the moment so I'm kind of running out of options. Has anyone experienced something similair or does anyone have some ideas that I could try as well?
Thanks alot in advance for any input.
