I’m using Internet Explorer to add descriptions for digital IO. It works great for DI/DO 1-1024, however when I select 1025 at the top of the comment tool to change pages to comment DI/DO 1025-2048 I get an error: “page cannot be loaded”. Any suggestions on a fix to this problem?

I had the same problem for a while.
I don't know what changed, but error stopped apearing ... Did you try different browser?
I sent this problem to Fanuc but they couln't reproduce it.

I tried Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge. Same problem with all three.

I loaded this in RG (Set Dig Ports to 2k) -- couldn't replicate as well. What Robot Controller Model/Software Version etc..?
Also if you can - see what page it's trying to go to when you get the "page can't be displayed" -- Knowing this would help as well. Watch address bar in browser (or inspect if you're savvy).

It’s an R30iB Plus controller. On one occasion it loaded DI/DO 1025... but I’ve only been able to connect once.

I can't explain why this is happening, however I can and did create something that should help resolve this. This was quickly put together. You'll need to make sure you enter a DI/DO numerical value before you enter the comment. I didn't do any error checking on this etc... but yea.
Unzip and Load file(ioentry.htm) to the robot (normal method, it will put it where it needs to go) and in your preferred browser go to http://robot-ip/ioentry.htm
DI/DO Comment Entry File:
ioentry.zipEdit: Added Submit & Clear buttons. This was to avoid unintentional changing of values and it parsing to robot.
Submit will parse requested data to robot.
Clear will clear the form & allow for new entry, not the data on the robot.

I also added this to Github for those that are interested.
