Fanuc LR Mate 200i, R-J3 Controller Model B
We have 5 machine that use a Robot (info above) to string a wire across a part fixture. The wire leave the EOAT through a "stylus".
This morning the stylus on one of the Robots started colliding with the wire spindles on the part fixture. We have a "Check Alignment" routine that let's us verify that the spindle has not become mechanically misaligned and we can adjust it a mm or so in either direction if it has. When I ran this routine, the tip of the stylus was so misaligned (15+ degrees on J6) that no amount of mechanical adjustment would fix it (obviously). It seems as if the J6 joint had somehow re-mastered itself overnight. I ended up having to reprogram each point in the main routine. Has anyone encountered a problem like this?
