I’m setting up the tip wear program on my unit with a R30ib controller/R1000ia robot and Servo gun. I was able to get the WR_SET01 and WR_UPD01 programs working fine. However I would like a specific value for wear on each cap(in cases of uneven wear), so I installed a calibration bar and started setting up the TW_SET01, TW_UPD01, and TW_MV2PT programs.
So far, the program clamps together to calculate the total wear of both caps similar to the WR_UPD01 program, but when going to the calibration bar, instead of pushing down with the movable side, it clamps on the calibration bar. When I tried programming so that only the movable contacts the bar, the program errored out.
This results in the program putting all the wear on the gun side, and none on the robot caps.
This is my first time setting up this type of equipment so I have a feeling the error lies in the teaching, however, I reviewed the tip wear manual that comes with the robot to no avail.
What exact teaching steps should i be taking to set up the TW_SET01 and TW_UDP01 program?
