Good morning everyone,
Can someone help me with a doubt that I have?
So, we have a r30ia with a M10ia robot, mechanically speaking it's similar to a arcmate 100ic, we want to change the software from handling tool to arctool, is that possible just by erase everything in the robot and in the initial configuration tell it to be an arc robot? If not, what about copying the image backup of one arcmate robot to this one?
I hope I make myself clear with this problem.
Thanks everyone this forum saved me a lot of times.
Handling to welding

It won't be that easy.
If the application is not complicated, it would be easier to just write your own macros and maybe some bg-logic or Karel to make the robot work with a welding machine. -
The mechanical unit(robot) has very little to do with the software. So, doing the unit start won’t change the software when you choose the other robot option.
I agree it may be easy to write macros, but the weave functionality will be difficult.
I’ve never done it, but I’ve always wanted to try, to take an image of a different robot and dump it onto one. Of course you will lose EVERYTHING on your M10. You also won’t be able to get software upgrades or PACs after this.
Another way would be to get a software return from Fanuc. Usually around $600.00.

Thanks for the help, how can I make a BGlogic for welding? I guess is to call the schedules of welding and everything to make de handling a welding?
I think I wouldn't be a problem if the robot lose everything, I want to try all the ways possible.
This "new" robot is supposed to replace an old welding robot. So losing all his info wouldn't be an issue.
The problem that I see here is that I need the robot to call the process of welding and also the schedule.
But because it's a handling unit it can't.
