Hi All,
I am trying to figure out how to calculate the safe distance and how it applies to my application. First time using these calculations so looking for some feedback.
my Application: Part check station/Inspection. Using DX200 with MHII-20 arm
Robot drops part off here periodically. The operator has to pull parts out when they are present in this station, they can do so at any time. It is guarded by an enclosure with a Hinged door on the outside of the Cell. The door has a Magnetic AB safety switch on it that is wired to the FSU unit, and also I have a status contact going to my PLC from this switch.
I used this equation: Ds=K*[(Ts+Tc+Tr)]+Dpf
I came up with: Ds=1.6*[400ms+14ms+5ms+0
Equaling: Ds=670mm.
How does this distance apply to my Application?
The concern here is to amount of time it takes the Operator to open the door of the check station and reach his hand in VS. The amount of time it takes my equation to make a CAT0 stop correct??
How is this distance applied.
Thank you very much.
