I realize this one is going to be hard to follow.
I have 2 machines, Machine 1 has 8 chucks, 4 of them will be machining (OP10) and 4 will be in a loading/unloading area(OP20). Machine 2 will have 4 chucks, 2 of them will be machining(OP30) while the other 2 are in a load/unload area(OP40).
OP10 parts go to OP20 and so on and so forth. I was asked today if at the end of OP40 i would be able to tell the PLC what chuck the finished part was in in each of the different machining operations.
I have a good rough draft of how to follow all of this, but my head starts spinning at some point thinking that i have to keep track of a lot of parts because i am setting down parts on set down stations in between each OP because the part has to be gripped differently/the machines have to remain running. All i keep coming back to is way to many flags and outputs. Does anyone have some insight on how i can track all of this (if anybody was able to understand what the heck i just said). THANK YOU
