Good afternoon.
Im working now with an ABB robot wich at the begining it didn't start, it got stuck at the conecting to controller window at the FlexPendant, but i could connect with the robostudio, so i made a backup, but when i tried from the robostudio to make an X-Start to load from the BOOT MONITOR the system it didn't reboot nor anything, so we tried to connect again but we couldn't even connect now!!! it says that we cannot connect whilr is in service mode, , so we tried pressing the STOP button and P1 while restarting system but now appears "Connecting to Server, please wait" appears and cannot take it off, not even taking off de Memory Card, what can we do? is the some hard keys on the FP to make the BOOT MONITOR? so i can download the system's backup that i have, or what can i do? any suggestions will be welcome.

We also tried to sownload the System from that page but says that the host memory is full so we cannot download it, and the way to erase or download that i know is from the boot monitor window

Hej,
I your case I will try to change TP - I get often stuck on "Connecting to controller " screen when TP defect.
Also you should try new memory cart CF (with boot sector of corse).

It seems like you have a communication problem between CPU and FlexPendant.
Check:
-FlexPendant (replace with other)
-FlexPendant cable (sometimes it's loose in the FP conector)
-Harness inside cabinet (between CPU and FP conector)
-And last it could be a problem in the Ethernet port of main computer. Try to replace CPU.You have done a X-start, so the system is currently in boot application. The only way to get out of boot application is selecting the system in the FP, which is not possible because you don't have communication OR you can load a new system through RobotStudio.
There is a way of selecting system without FlexPendant, which involves connecting through FTP to the controller and editing manually the file System.dir. Write the name of the system you want to start inside file, overwrite and restart robot.
