I am new in this forum and with robots. Here is my story and what kind of help i need.
Exactly i get one used 2007 year ABB IRB140 robot with IRC5 controller. But unfortunately this robot does not have Flex Pedant.
So first i tried to get move the robot axis. So after ABB manuals reading i understand that should be possible to get axis move by live with Robostudio (Is this correct?). So i try to connect several ways my computer and Robostudio with robot. But everything was to new to get axis move.
After that i call official Estonian ABB robot technicians. I explain them my problem that i do not have Flex Pedant and i need help to get move by Robostudio in live. They told they never know why somebody should be move robot axis by Robostudio and don t know is this even possible. So they recommended me to buy new Flex Pedant. I think i am ready to buy new Flex Pedant when they can come and show me first does the Robot even work correctly before i will buy it. So then i call them to visit my robot. When Estonian technicians borrow one Flex Pedant from some other client machine and come to my warehouse to get robot to move. After the connecting the Flex Pedant they get some message to Flex Pedant (Something that connection is failed. I do not remember correct words any more)
Then they call to some other person and ask what could be the reason. After that they explain that there is not maybe installed some device what allows to use Flex Pedant. But they are even not sure 100%. So they connect their computer with IRC5 controller and download the backups. And told they cant too nothing any more to get just axis to move. They should try to think later and ask factory what could be the problem with robot. But recommended that maybe i should buy from them some extra devices and then try. (But i will not buy from them all possible devices and other things what they recommended. Because they already told i need to buy only Flex Pedant and then everything is fine. ) Yes i am sure when i order from ABB all possible things over 15K Eur i will get this robot to move. But is this worth anymore?
So after great bill from ABB and information that robot will not work (Like i do not know) i am still in dead end. And seems (Almost 100% sure) from these ABB guys can t never help me to solve this situation after all these conversation with them and other technical questions about robot .
I think maybe here somebody have more experiences and can help me and tell me what could be the reason and solution to get robot just to move. Does it by from my computer or Flex Pedant.
Because i am new with robots i tried later to get this robot to move by live with Robostudio and RoboDK.
By RoboDK i get all instructions from their specialist but unfortunately do not get connected with robot. (All IP and everything else was correct. Maybe few tiny things was still wrong but what i do not know ???)
But Robostudio i get connected with robot. I get all back-ups and everything else. But Robostudio will show me few internal IO errors why i can t get something to work.
But i do not know where i can get changed these internal IO positive to me.
Maybe here somebody can help me and just tell me does there is even option to move robot in live by Robostudio? When no then witch program there is option? Or what is even best program to start learn to work/program ABB robots.
And how the robot can work then earlier before i get it from other goods?
When i can move robot only by ready program what is made by Robostudio then can you just please explain me where i need to send programs and get them to run. (I probably know but want to be just sure that i make everything 100% correct) And how can i program the IO emergencies out?
I really hope somebody have time to write here and help me to get this robot back to move. Or give me some more good ideas. I am new with robots but unfortunately i haven t been find any better place to ask help for my problem.
So all information will be VERY thank fully!
Anyway the robot seems in very good condition visually (No damages or scratches), working hours only approximately 6000h and when i move axis by my self manually (I hold down this one button down on robot) seems everything move nicely. And of course there is even do not have any oil leak.
