Currently I'm considering buying a second hand ABB robot to do some light milling work (in foam, plastic). I'm an experienced computer programmer, but a newbie on robot programming.
I would like to do the milling parametrically. For example, I make a set of programs: mill_slot, mill_hole, mill_edge, and have the operator enter the location and dimensions of the slot/hole/edge. Is this possible? Are there specific requirements? Is this only possible with newer robot generations?
