Hello everyone. This is my first post on this forum although I have been programming FANUC robots for a few years now (but am certainly not an expert).
I am sure this information is somewhere, but I have not found it yet and am hoping somebody can point me in the right direction.
I am creating a set of material handing programs. This is for a machine tool tending cell. These programs are using position register offsets and numerical data coming form the PLC to handle a large variety of different part numbers. Offsets are being sent to the robot from the PLC. I want the customer to be able to add new parts to the cell in the future. Is there a way that I can push the robot position data to registers so that the PLC can read the data and log it to the database? I want the customer to be able to move the robot into a desired position and then push the offset back to the PLC where it is stored for future use.
Any thoughts or ideas are welcome.
