Searching through the archives I found a post to enable/run SM.COM which allowed an external monitor to function. I found in another manual you can enable Office GUI On/Off under Config --> Special Functions --> Miscellaneous to use a mouse to control KCP functions but the option is greyed out. I am in Expert. Does this mean it's just not an available option/package in the software of my KRC1, or is there another way of enabling this?

Office mode is not for that -- it disables the robot and makes the controller think it's running a simulated arm. It's for putting KSS onto desktop computers. You can use a mouse with the KCP regardless, but what you CANNOT do is replace the Deadman switch with a mouse-clicked button. That is explicitly only allowed in Office mode, and for safety Office mode won't work when an actual robot is connected to the KRC1.

Okay it didn't read that way in the KRC Configuration manual and from what it shows it looks as though it simply adds softkeys for use with the mouse for Window Selection, Program Start Forwards, Initialization Key and Enabling Switch.
Really I was just looking for window selection for acknowledging from mouse/keyboard.

Just mouse-click inside the correct window.
