I have a little problem with robot communication. I have an IRB580 with conveyor tracking on IRC5 linked to a computer(with Robotstudio) by RJ45. This computer is used for files transfer due to the Robotstudio function "files transfer". Otherwise, i have a routine which writes different events (date, hour, job status, serial number,... ) into files "Paintlog*" (1,2,3,4 or 5 depends of the current day) automatically on the hard drive of the robot.
My first problem was to transfer automatically theses logs to the computer. I created some scripts and installed a ftp client in the computer. This part is working well.
But in fact, i would prefer that the robot writes directly on the hard drive of this computer. My problem is that (I'm not sure) the robot and the pc can only dialog by ftp and don't know what write in my routine to indicate the good path or the good method to write on the pc HD. Have you some ideas about the way to do this ?
