I have a point in my program that uses a VR offset that comes from the IRVision, and a PR offset that allows the operator to adjust the point from a Panelview... I do this so they don't have to go in and touch up the point if they need to raise or lower the torch to get a quality weld.
My question is.... When I touch up the point, the TP asks me if I want to subtract the offset data from the current position, it asks me that twice, once for the VR data and once for the PR data... what should I answer?
When I answer no, the data in for the point location matches exactly what the actual robot position is, but when I run the vision again it offsets out of the weld joint, to make this right I have to open the vision application, snap, find, then set the reference point again. But if I answer yes, yes to subtracting the offset data, my point postion does not match that of the robot actual position, but when I run the vision application again it puts the weld wire right in the center of the weld joint.
It seems to me that I want the point position data to match where I put the weld wire, but the reference point in the vision application has to be reset if I do this???
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
