I'm trying to make it easier for my techs to teach a few positions in my programs. They will do this in teach mode.
1. My I/F panel has 6 different points they can teach.
2. After they select a point I turn on a Indication button (on I/F panel) telling my tech to hold Interlock+Test Start
3. When they hold Interlock+Test Start the robot moves to the point they selected.
4. Then another Indication button (on the I/F panel) turns on telling them they can jog the robot.
5. When they are ready to save the current position of the robot they select a button on my I/F panel telling me they are ready to save.
6. I turn on a Indication button (on the I/F panel) telling my tech to hold Interlock+Test Start
7. When they hold Interlock+Test Start I save the current position and put it into its P variable. I get the pulse data then convert it to the coordinate and tool I need it to be.
8. Then they can test that part of the job or park the robot (safe start position).
I have it set up so they can do it all from the I/F panel except they have to change the active user coordinate and active tool between steps 4 and 5. I would like to change it for them so they don't have to remember how to change them.
Are there relays or variables that I can use to change the coordinate and/or tool?
Is there a parameter which will set the active tool for a position to the active tool in teach mode?
