which welding controller you are using, and also specify the robot model, but in abb we maintain current ration on wirefeed speed and weld speed.
Short answer is yes you can.
How - depends on which process (mig/tig) and how your welding powersource can be integrated with the robot.
In its simplest form you use two analog signals, one for wire feed (current) and one for voltage.
The previous post can be a bit misleading, there is no link/relationship between weldspeed and current.
In all mig-welding current is a result of wiretype/thickness, wire feed speed and stick-out, doesn't matter if it's an ABB, Fanuc or person holding the torch.
