D+ controller DeviceNet IO Configuration

    Hello All,

    I have a problem to reconfigure DeviceNet IO.
    Hardware: Kawasaki D+ controller and Anybus DeviceNet Master.

    Current IO configuration are: input 4 bytes and output 4 bytes, this is working fine for both reading and writing between DeviceNet Master (Robot Controller) and DeviceNet Slave.

    I want to increase the I/O to 8 bytes. I changed the Number of IO Signals below from Teach Pendant (Aux. 0611).

    Code
    Number of Output Signals: 64
    Number of Input Signals: 64
    Number of Internal Signals: 256
    Number of Master Signals: 128
    Number of Slave Signals: 128

    but when I changed my DeviceNet Slave IO below, the DeviceNet Node Status Display from TP shows the my Node 1 (DeviceNet Slave) is Red(Fault).

    Code
    Input IO data size (bytes): 8
    output IO data size (bytes): 8

    Do I need to change anything else for IO configuration?

    It is a little more involed then that. You have to assign the number of signals like you did but you also have to define all the extra signals as well or it won't know what it is looking at. You would be best to contact KRI to get the General fieldbus IO manual or ask them to help. I know the manual has the procedure for setting up all the signals correctly.
