I've been having this issue since last year. I have 55 NX100 robots, all installed in the year 2007. Since last year, I've been having issues with "Over-current" alarm occurring for all axis at random times in all robots. The solution for this is by replacing all the servo amps. However, having this many servo amps, the cost of simply replacing them on a time based maintenance is obviously an expensive solution.
I'm desperately need to find the root cause for the servo amp's failure. Below are some of my suspects:
1. Speed of axis (in degrees) is too high
How do I check this and what are the speed limits for each axis?
2. NX100 Servo amplifiers have a lifetime
If so, does anyone know what the life time for it?
3. Problems with my power source is causing the amp to fail
I'm currently installing monitoring devices to check on this
4. Overheating inside the cp
My controllers are all clean and free of dust. All box fans are performing in a normal condition.
Besides these 4, are there any other cause that i should take into consideration?
