Hi guys,
I have two KUKA's robots and two conveyors. One the first conveyor, there are some objects in a diffrent shapes (boxes, tubs, little bottles etc.). The objects are placed more or less in line, but are rotated and there is no space beetwen them. What I need to do is to pick up each object and place it on the second conveyor without any rotation (it has to lay parallel to the conveyor) and with propert space between each object (10 inch for example).
I'm wondering, what kind of a vision system should I apply.
I want to put SICK's camera VSPM - 6F2113 above the input conveyor and and SICK's light grid MLG05A-0445I10501. The camera gives me x,y, rotation angle and the light grid gives z (hight of an object). Do you think, is it an good idea or I should apply 3D camera system (COGNEX for example)?
