Hello, I need to connect peripheral devices such as sensors and valves to the LR Mate 100i RJ 2 controller (with teach pendant)?
Can anyone give me any advice on how to do this via the RJ2 controller ports?
I have the manuals but it isn't clear what cable to use, how to wire, how to program???
I'm new to the robot world so any information even remotely related may help.
Thank you!

I never had an RJ2 controller but you should have an I/O bord in the controller. Don't know if RJ2 controller need an i/o cable or if you can connect directly on the I/O board. Someone will probably answer you on this one. You will have to supply your own 24V for the input and output.
to program these, you will only need to set them on or off in your programex:
DO1 = ON
DO2 = OFFWAIT DI1 = ON etc.
IF DI3 = on call program X -
Thanks for your help, I was able to connect the IO via the CRM5 cable.

You will have to supply your own 24V for the input and output.Can someone confirm or deny this?
The schematic for the crm5 port in the controller shows 4 pins with 24vdc [CRM5(31, 32, 49, 50)].
To get an input to work using the CRM5 connector do I need to supply my own power?
I currently have a push button input wired into the CRM5 connector, pin 1 (SDI01) and the 24V source for common. SDICOM1&2 are connected to 0V.
On power up, I can press the button once, and all DI's 1-8 switch from OFF to ON. Once I release the switch the inputs remain on and there is no way to turn them off with out power cycling the controller.
