My company is considering a robot to begin our journey toward robotic palletizing. We have contact several integrators. One of them says that the Fanuc Handling Tool is the way to go, however our local Fanuc office is saying that Pallet Pro/Pallet Tool will be much better fit for us. Can I get some opinions on these two packages for the palletizing of boxes? Thanks.

I have never used the Pallet Pro application but I know it does come with extra features specific to palatalizing. If you have a good programmer it is possible to program a pallet using FOR loops and offsets from a single point. Further more, this can be accomplished using a vision system like my company produces.

Really, it would depend on how many different boxes and patterns you have, and wither or not that number will increase in the future.
One customer of mine wanted this done, but had over 30 boxes across three different lines, the whole process (with a lot of help from the kind people here since I'm a noob) was made so much easier and took less than a week to setup once I knew what I was doing.
