Hello everyone, my work has an fd11 nachi robot that a part present switch was added a few years ago, and it works, because you can see it on the internal plc in the robot, but not in the plc for the main machine. I did find a line in the nachi plc that shows the input on from the actual pp switch, right below the other two pp switches on the machine. (those two do show up in the main plc) and as far as i can tell it should show up in the main, i don't think we are out of the ranges of the IO inputs/outputs. Below are some pictures of what i am talking about sorry if they are blurry, the teach pendant is getting pretty dirty.

hello everyone, so I have a question I have been working on fixing our sealant programs at my work, we had the rep from the sealant company come in and worked with me on a few things and one of them he brought up was using the RTCP on the sealant moves, my question is this does it do anything if there is no rtcp set up for the standalone sealer? As far as I can tell there isnt in some of the robots. The lines have ran for a few years like this and have just gotten worse as people adjust more and more. Thankyou

how can you have a master location and reprime these? other than doing an axis master. or is that what you are describing with the points moving.

Hello, I have seen other threads about the Robot position is out of stop tolerance and how to get the robot to restart automatically. But we don't want the robots to restart (too many issues with crashes). So we like the yellow pop up block, as it gives our techs another point to think if they are ok to continue on what they are doing. The problem we are running into is this doesn't pop up everytime. I have been told we think it is sometimes behind the main screens. We cycle between the select and edit button and eventually it pops up, but this can take a while or the tech doesn't realize that is what it is waiting on so they go look for other things. Does anyone know how to get this to pop up right away when needed? I attached a picture below i found off google images that is the box I am talking about, it is not my picture. thank you.

Hello,
We have the same thing as people discussing above, but we prefer to keep the yellow box as an extra safety feature to make the techs stop and think, problem is the box doesn't always pop up, the screen says it cannot start from a distance. we have to hit select and enter and sometimes it pops up and sometimes it doesn't. or it takes several times, is there a way to make these pop up immediatley when it is required? thank you

Howdy,
Thank you that explains it, i went back and looked and the ones in question were the macros.

Hello, I am curious what is the difference between lines 13 and 16 below, they both seem to call a different program and that part i understand. Just curious and couldn't find anything, but really didn't know how to look for this specific. thank you.

Thanks for the inputs, we were trying to run this in the PLC so even if there isn't control power or the robot ready it will still toggle the DI and therefore the DO to call for the purge. We didn't want it running a constant program that would stop running when someone did something to the cell or robot.

Hello,
We have some new fanuc robots that i need to turn on the purge system every 4 hours for the sealant system while we are in a week shutdown. The sealant system runs thru the robot and a DO416 turns it on. I was able to write a program that turned on a unused DI that was config'd and using the interconnect feature i was able to turn on and off the DO 416, my problem is now the auto purge that the program does when the robot is running normally (it purges at the start of a run if not used within 5 minutes) no longer works because the DI i used isn't on and therefore the DO 416 is off and stays off. We are planning on being down for about a week straight so we don't want to have to manually purge all the robots every so often, but we want it to still work automatically when we start back up. is there a way to get around this interconnect where if something else (ie the robot) tells it turn on in a program it will bypass the interconnect and still turn on? Thank you.

Hello,
We keep getting a error message I3168 on our nachi robot, it says "there is the axis in 1000 hours for overhaul. and for solution it says exchange the axis early. After that 0 clearing of consumption time until present. But we have not clue how to do that part. overhauling the axis is one thing, but not sure how to clear this message. Thank you.

Hello,
We have a few Fanuc robots that control two separate pedastal welders, When we try to run the gun master program to on the gun 2 we have a terrible time trying to find the posistion to find the gun 2 control for it. Is there a way to change which gun you are mastering from the gun master screen? thank you.

Hello,
We have several of the Fanuc R-2000i Robots with the servogun module on them, but we are having an issue with one only one of them, it has been running fine for a while, and just started to have issues the last few weeks. Every couple days the robot crashes into the piece it is welding, and we find the closed position for the weld tips is off, (shows up to 12.5mm when just barely closed). All we have to do is reteach the closed position with new clean tips and it takes care of the problem. We have watched the tip dress program and it updates just fine and it also clears itself out when a tip is changed and then restarts on the first tip dress. We changed out the servo gun thinking it was possible slipping and not reading, but that doesn't seem to have made a difference. Any ideas as to what can be causing this. The yearly PM was just completed that did the grease and battery change, if those details help at all. THank you.
