Hello!
New to the forum thanks to our Fanuc Robot.
We are using a Fanuc System R-J3. With a Lincoln Electric 455 arc mate welder.
We are having some serious issues right now and are in dyer need of run time and help.
First we could not stop getting arc start failures. Once that issue was fixed (by what we thought was the brand of wire we were using) we started having grounding problems. No matter what we tried, our welds would not "puddle out" instead, the welds were all over the place. One minute the welds could be up, down, to the side, or they just looked like spatter. We fixed that issue with cleaning up some of the plugs inside the controller.
Now, we are back to the arc start failures. We have tried 3 different types of wire, made sure we had full good gas, we have adjusted the wire speed and the voltage and the wire roller tightness. The wire just seems to want to arc back to the tip.
For reference, we are welding 304 Stainless material with .035 308L wire.
If you need any ifo from me please let me know. This is a very urgent issue, any help is much appreciated!!
